DERELICT VESSEL REMOVAL GRANT 2nd Round OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is currently announcing the 2nd round opportunity to apply for Derelict Vessel Removal Grants.  The application period for the Bulk Derelict Vessel Removal Grant Program will begin on November 28, 2016, and end at the close of business on January 11, 2017. Applications that meet the requirements for the Rapid Removal Grant Program may be submitted at any time after the opportunity announcement start date, but no later than May 15, 2017 at 5:00pm (EST) (based on available funding).  Total funding allocated for derelict vessel removal for fiscal year 2016-2017 is $1,400,000.  The remaining balance of $400,000 will be allotted for the 2nd round of Bulk and Rapid Derelict Vessel Removal Grants. Projects must be able to be started and completed within a 60 day time frame to be within the programs completion deadline. Applications may be mailed to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Boating and Waterways Section, Derelict Vessel Grant Program Administrator at 620 S. Meridian Street – Room 235, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1600 or emailed to DVGrant@MyFWC.com.
