Celebrate 25 Years of MarineQuest this October On October 19th, the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI) will be celebrating a special milestone, the 25th anniversary of our annual open house, MarineQuest. Instagram Favorite FWC Marine Mammal Rescue staff and partners created a human-chain in a canal in St. Petersburg to slowly herd dolphins that had become trapped in the waterway. The dolphins made it safely back to open water. A low bridge was perceived by the dolphins as a barrier.     Our Mission Through effective research and technical knowledge, we provide timely information and guidanceto protect, conserve, and manage Florida's fish and wildlife resources.
