Press Release 4/18/2020: Governor DeSantis COVID-19 Press Conference – K12 Public Schools Announcement Extends Distance Learning for the Remainder of the School Year

Today, during his 4:30 p.m. COVID-19 press conference, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that all Florida K12 public schools will continue with distance learning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

No additional details have been provided at this time, however Superintendent Yoder will continue to work closely with the Department of Education, the Governor’s Office and other agencies as much as possible in serving the needs of all students for the remainder of the school year. I am committed to serving as a resource to our students, staff, and families as we continue to navigate this crisis together.
