Start The Spread of GOOD News! - A E-newsletter from Robinson Brothers

April 22, 2020
Wishing you were Fishing!?!
I remember a nightly newscaster who focused a few minutes of every broadcast with the "Good News" of the day. It may have been Jacksonville. At any rate I have held on to that thought process, no matter how bad things are, What's the GOOD News?

So let's think for a few minutes today about fishing. What's your favorite time of year to fish? Who is your favorite fishing buddy? What's your most favorite fish to catch or to eat? Do you focus on the sport or techniques involved in fly fishing or sight fishing or is it all about spending time on the water with friends, joking and laughing and enjoying the day? Have I got you thinking? OK, now picture yourself on the boat with your favorite fishing guide, looking across the water on this picture perfect day. Are you on the bow casting at a fish? Are you watching your children or wife or best bud reeling in a trophy fish? Is this something you need in your life to look forward to? Why not make plans for a fishing trip in the near future? (with Robinson Brothers of course) Operators are standing by. Well, it might just be me, sitting near the phone but you get the idea. We can make your reservation for a tentative fishing trip based upon current restrictions without concerns about cancellation. I'll even send you photos of fish to get you excited about planning your trip. We do what we can. Reminder, if you choose to book through our website and you input your payment info it will charge you in full.
Questions about your reservation?
Current fishing reservation holders please know that the last thing we want to have to do is cancel your much anticipated trip. We strongly hope that all will be well over the next several months. If you are not able to fish for any reason, please allow us to either reschedule if necessary or hold your deposit until you can reschedule. Refunds will have to incur a small fee to cover processing. Your fishing guide is missing you as much as you are missing being on the water, and frankly he's counting on the income.

What's Biting?
Yesterday an avid angler complained to me that this thing has messed up his Pompano fishing, Again! I'm pretty sure the Pompano should be hanging around into the first part of June, but guess what we're seeing right now? (see photo of Jennifer Finch holding a tripletail) The GOOD NEWS is that without anyone but locals fishing from here right now, the pressure has been off all the usual species so Redfish, Trout, Pompano, Spanish, Black Drum and Tripletail are plentiful. (Think - Lined up & waiting for you!) And I would be surprised if the Tarpon season isn't Epic.
How we protect you.
Robinson Guides keep a clean boat!
After anglers step off their captain's boat is when the real work starts. Each boat is thoroughly cleaned, with bleach, every evening. This has always been our policy. In addition, your captain will be wearing a mask or buff and we recommend that every angler also comply - Please BYO Mask. Boats are limited to 4 or 6 passengers not including the captain and we book personal trips only, so there will be no strangers on board. Fishing is a great De-stressor - consider it therapy! Your comfort and protection are our focus.
