The Gulf Specimen Marine Lab will reopen on Monday, May the 11th

We are Re-Opening Monday, May 11th!
As the stay-at-home order in Florida comes to an end, we will be partially reopening the aquarium to the general public beginning Monday, May 11th. We have planned a safe step-by-step approach towards reopening the aquarium in accordance with both local health and government agencies.

Following Florida’s Executive Order 20-112 and the “Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step.” report by Gov. DeSantis, we will be implementing and maintaining standard safety protocols that will allow visitors to safely visit the aquarium. To do this, we are operating at a 25% capacity which means that we are limiting the number of visitors allowed in the aquarium at any given time.

To ensure that visitors are able to visit the aquarium at a desired time, we strongly recommend that all visitors make reservations in advance. We cannot guarantee the availability of entrance tickets for walk-ins. Reservations for entrance tickets can be made by calling our office at (850) 984-5297. Each group will be allocated 45 minutes in the aquarium and must not exceed a total of 10 people which will allow visitors to take turns while maintaining social distancing guidelines. We want to thank you again for all the support, love and generosity we have experienced throughout this unfortunate pandemic. Stay safe and we hope to see you soon!

Thank you,
Cypress Rudloe
Executive Director
