73 percent of Franklin County residents 65 years and older have received their COVID-19 vaccination, while in Gulf County only 63 percent have

73 percent of Franklin County residents 65 years and older have received their COVID-19 vaccination, while in Gulf County only 63 percent have.


54 percent of Franklin County residents 60 to 64 have begun their vaccination, as have 29 percent of people 55 to 59 and 24 percent of those 50 to 54.


In Gulf County 35 percent of residents 60 to 64 have begun their vaccination, as have 20 percent of people 55 to 59 and 18 percent of those 50 to 54.


The health department has not yet released vaccination numbers of those under 50, though everyone 18 and over is now eligible to begin their COVID vaccinations.


COVID-19 vaccinations are available at the Health departments in Apalachicola and Port St. Joe.

If you live in Eastpoint, PanCare is providing a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine event at Vrooman Park this Thursday from 9:00 am-2:30pm.

Ascenscion Sacred Heart will offer two vaccine clinics this week on Friday and Saturday.


The Friday event will be held from 8 am -2 pm at the Centennial Building and the Saturday event will be held from 11 am - 2 pm EST at the Washington High Gym in Port St Joe.

Make sure to bring your drivers license.


As of Saturday, Franklin County has seen 1301 COVID cases since the pandemic began and 18 deaths.


The Department of Health reports our positivity rate at 2 percent – the state average is 7 percent.


Gulf County has seen 1924 cases and 42 deaths with a positivity rate of 6 percent.
