St. George Island Paint Out is proud to announce a stunning new line up for our May 1 – 7, 2021 season. Last year the SGIPO crossed the bridge with a dozen artists to include the three cities of Eastpoint, Carrabelle and Apalachicola, making us a four-city strong event. This year we have sixteen highly acclaimed and award winning artists painting with us in Historic Apalachicola, the quaint village of Carrabelle, the bay-view community of Eastpoint, and the pristine beaches and dunes of St. George Island, Florida. Saturday, May 1st marks the kick off. Take a morning or afternoon stroll from 10am – 4pm through the historic district of Apalachicola to watch our artists capture the architectural beauty of our homes, gardens, and churches on canvas. Following your self-guided tour, join us from 5 – 7pm at the Live Oak Gallery for wine and cheese while previewing the completed paintings from the tour. Throughout the week of May 1 – 7 there will be opportunities to watch the artists complete their daily work, participate in specialized workshops, compete in a Quick Draw competition, and enjoy the Grand Finale Champagne Reception & Art Show. It will be a multi-faceted event that you won’t want to miss. The St. George Island Paint Out is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Its mission is to promote art and businesses in Franklin County and to make beautiful “Old Florida” a premier art destination.
