The Apalachicola Bay Chamber of commerce last week recognized two local volunteers for their work in the community.
For the past 5 years, the Apalachicola Bay chamber of Commerce has awarded the Apalachicola Bay Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award during National volunteer week to recognize the men and women who give up their time with family and friends to make our community a better to place to live.
This year the chamber awarded the 2021 Volunteer of the Year to Sheryl Clouse of St. George Island.
They also awarded the 2021 Lifetime Volunteer award to Ted Mosteller of Apalachicola.
Sheryl Clouse was recognized for her work this year overseeing the online auction for the St. George Island Fire Department which raised over $50,000.
She has also been very active in fundraisers for Breast Cancer research and the Humane Society of Franklin County.
Ted Mosteller received the lifetime award for his 56 years of serving the Florida Seafood Festival as a volunteer board member.
He has also volunteered for the local airport, Methodist church, Chamber of Commerce, public fundraisers and much more.
