Two Eastpoint residents were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Liberty County early Tuesday Morning, but a 7 month old girl in the car was uninjured.
The Florida Highway patrol said a 22 year old man and a 22 year old woman from Eastpoint were traveling South in an SUV on Highway 65 at about 3:45 Tuesday morning and were approaching Georgia-Pacific near Hosford when the driver fell asleep and the vehicle began to drift to the left.
A semi truck was parked off the roadway on the northbound shoulder across from Georgia-Pacific.
The front left of the SUV struck the front left of the Semi, causing the SUV to rotate counter clockwise approximately 180 degrees before coming to a final rest in the roadway facing north.
The driver of the Semi, a 31 year old man from Troy, Alabama, was uninjured in the collision.
