Two young girls died Friday in an early morning house fire in Eastpoint.
The Franklin County sheriff's office was alerted to a fire at a home on Wilderness Road just after 1 AM Friday morning.
The call was made by a neighbor.
By the time Firefighters reached the home it was already fully engulfed in flames.
The parents and two boys were able to escape the blaze.
The home is described as a mobile home with additions added on to the home.
Firefighters from Eastpoint and St. George Island fought the fire, describing it as very difficult to extinguish.
Firefighters were able to leave the scene by 5 AM.
Also on scene were officers from the Carrabelle and Apalachicola police departments, the Franklin County Sheriff's office and Franklin County Emergency Medical Services.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall's Office.
