The Franklin County Tourist Development Council has agreed to provide up to 50 thousand dollars to the City of Apalachicola for work at Lafayette Park.
The money will help fund the repairs of the pavilion at the end of the pier which is commonly used by people who are fishing or just want to enjoy the view.
TDC director John Solomon said the money would come from the council's infrastructure budget and would be reimbursed by the city.
