Franklin County Commission Chairman Ricky Jones has been elected to the Florida Association of Counties Board of Directors






Franklin County Commission Chairman Ricky Jones has been elected to the Florida Association of Counties Board of Directors.

Jones was elected to the position on July 1st, during the Association’s Annual Conference and Educational Exhibit held in Orange County.

During his two-year term as an elected member of the FAC Board of Directors, Commissioner Ricky Jones will represent the local interests of the community by overseeing the Association’s efforts and initiatives.

Founded in 1929, the Florida Association of Counties has represented the diverse interests of Florida’s counties, emphasizing the importance of protecting home rule – the concept that communities and their local leaders should make the decisions that impact their communities.

Jones said he is honored to have the opportunity to continue serving on behalf of the counties that comprise Senate District 3.

“There are 13 counties in our district, encompassing almost 20% of Florida’s Counties with differing needs and shared issues.
