The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is kicking off its Back-to-School supply drive.
Local students return to school on August the 10th.
The sheriff’s office has placed collection boxes at businesses around the county where you can drop off your donations.
Cash donations can be made at the Sheriff’s office on Highway 65, and they will be able to take donations through credit cards.
As part of the drive the Sheriff’s office has also purchased 300 backpacks which they will give to kids.
They will distribute 100 in Apalachicola, 100 in Eastpoint and 100 in Carrabelle.
The backpacks will be filled with school supplies with everything ranging from pens and pencils to notebooks.
The locations of the donation containers and the dates and times of the backpack distributions will be announced on the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page.
