		EYE ON RESEARCH | The latest discoveries of UF/IFAS scientists.  Some black truffles grown in eastern U.S. may be less valuable lookalike species The coveted European black truffle, pictured near left, looks similar to the winter truffle, far left. A new study analyzed specimens from 10 anonymous truffle orchards, and all but one was a winter truffle. Contact > Where bison roam could spread microbes A new study from University of Florida and Kansas State University researchers found that bison carry plant-associated fungi in their saliva, with the potential to spread fungi across the prairie. Contact >
