Here comes SUMMER! - The E=-Newsletter from the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce

Greetings from the Carrabelle Chamber!

Thank you to everyone who helped with and participated in the Riverfront Festival.

There are so many supportive friends in the community who were responsible for the success of the festival and we cannot say thank you enough.

Here are a couple of the drone shots captured. We will have a video soon that we will share with you.

Visitors can also have an after-hours visit in the Keeper’s House Museum and see the exhibit for the lighthouse’s original, historic Fresnel lens.

While at this Full Moon event, evening climbs are also available for those brave souls who are bold enough to venture to the top of the tallest Forgotten Coast lighthouse. Evening climbs cost $10 for climbers (age 13+). Timed tower climb tickets are required for those who wish to climb the lighthouse tower during this event. Timed tickets are available online on our website "GET TICKETS" and our gift shop. Advance ticket purchase is strongly suggested as these tickets may sell out.
The Legend of Tate's Hell

Now Through June 30
Since its opening on Saturday, March 16, the exhibit has interested audiences with its exploration of the legend of Tate’s Hell, shedding light on the misadventures and fate of Cebe Tate, and the intriguing origins behind the name of Tate's Hell State Forest. Visitors have been treated to a captivating array of wildlife and landscape photography captured within Tate’s Hell by esteemed photographers John Spohrer and Jon Johnson. Their stunning images vividly depict the unique beauty and mystique of this legendary locale.
Additionally, the exhibit showcases cultural treasures such as the iconic ballad, "The Ballad of Tate’s Hell" by Will McLean, performed by the talented Frank Lindamood. Also featured is the 1983 short film, “A Tale of Tate’s Hell”, produced by the FSU Department of Communications, offering an unique interpretation on the Tate’s Hell legend.
