A 30-year-old bicyclist from Wewahitchka received serious injuries after colliding with a car Monday afternoon.
According to the Highway patrol, the man was riding his bike north in the southbound bicycle lane of Highway 71 at about 4:40 in the afternoon when he rode into the path of a sedan that was turning left onto State Road 22 from State Road 71.
The front left side of the sedan collided with the bicyclist.
The cyclist was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart with serious injuries.
The driver of the sedan, a 56-year-old woman from Panama City, was uninjured.
