The Franklin County Supervisor of Elections has launched a program called TEXTMYGOV text alerts to keep you updated on important election information.

Voters can receive text notifications on things such as upcoming deadlines, dates to remember, polling location changes and other important information.

To join the service, just text the word “Hi” to 850-695-8550.

Once you sign up, you will receive notifications from 91896, which is a legitimate text from the Franklin County Supervisor of Elections Office.

You can always opt-out by texting STOP.

Supervisor of elections Heather Riley said she understands the growing need to communicate with voters utilizing the most advanced software available.

This texting software will allow the elections office to communicate efficiently and effectively the information voters are most interested in.

You will also be able to find up to date information on the Franklin County Supervisor of Elections Facebook page and on their website www.votefranklinfl.gov
