A program that allows people in
Franklin County to borrow library books from around the state is being phased
out because of a lack of funding.
The Franklin County Library said the
Division of Library and Information Services will be phasing out statewide
delivery services effective October 1st.
As a result, Franklin County Public
Library will no longer be able to offer inter-library loan services.
If you are a library patron and currently
have items borrowed from another library, you will need to return them to the
Franklin County Public Library by September 30th so they can be returned to the
lending library before the service ends.
The library is also encouraging
patrons to contact our state representatives to share how important these
services are and to advocate for continued support of libraries.
