When he's right he's right but when he's wrong...

According to an AP story you can read HERE , Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue has hit the nail on the head. Florida has allowed too much construction on its coastline in many places. But not here at the mouth of the river. Anyone who has ever visited Franklin County would agree that we are about as rural as it gets. No big condos, no chain stores. The closest McDonalds is 20 miles away in Port St. Joe and the closest Wal-Mart is 40 miles away in Crawfordville. There's only about 12 thousand of us living full time in the county, and many have fought long and hard to protect the mouth of the river from the heavy development you can see from Pensacola to Miami - the type of development that Sonny Perdue is now trying to use against us. The development we fear at the mouth of the river is happening 400 miles away to the north where a city called Atlanta continues to grow beyond its water supply.
