ABC school gets "A" grade
Franklin County’s school report card had an A on it. The Apalachicola Bay Charter School received an A grade from the state of Florida this year up from a C last year. It’s the third time the school has received top marks since 2002. The Franklin County consolidated school got a C grade this year – that’s also a step up from last year when the school was rated a D school. Port St. Joe and Wewahitchka are likely celebrating their grades this year – both received A’s at the Elementary and middle schools. Port St. Joe High School, however, saw its grade fall from an A to a C, in Wewahitchka the high school received a C grade for the second year in a row. Of the 8 schools in Wakulla County, 6 received an A grade. Crawfordville Elementary received a B grade and Wakulla High School received a C. School grades have been issued since 1999 – they are primarily based on the results of the FCAT standardized test that is taken by most students every year.
