Eligible Private non profit groups are those that provide non-critical services such as food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers, schools and colleges. The groups can borrow up to 2 million dollars to repair or replace damaged real estate, machinery and equipment as well as inventory and other business assets. Interest rates on the loans are as low as 4 percent with terms up to 30 years. The deadline to apply for the loans is June the 22nd, so groups that would like to learn more should contact the SBA Disaster Assistance hotline at 1-800-877-8339.
