Fisherman catches missile in Gulf of Mexico

A commercial fisherman made a rare catch in the Gulf of mexico when he caught a live, air-to-air guided missile. The Associated Press says fisherman Rodney Soloman netted the missile while long-line fishing 50 miles off Panama City. He told the MacDill Air Force Base Bomb Squad that he had the missile aboard his boat for 10 days before returning to port in Madeira Beach on Monday evening. A bomb squad dismantled the missile in an empty parking lot. The missile was very corroded from floating in saltwater for an extended period, but was live and in a very unstable state.
