Franklin County beaches now friendlier for dogs and hopefully people

Franklin County has always prided itself having dog-friendly beaches, and now the county has made it easier for dog owners to keep the beaches people friendly too. The county has just installed 12 doggie dispensers on St. George island where dog owners can get baggies to clean up after their pets. The dispensers are at the end of each of the island’s dune walkovers. There are also 4 newly installed dispensers at the end of the dune walkovers at Alligator Point. There are also garbage cans placed around the public beach accesses in both areas so you can dispose of your pet’s little presents.
