Franklin County commission meets Tuesday in Apalachicola
Franklin County Commissioners will meet tomorrow in Apalachicola. The board will discuss revoking more land use maps for the St. Joe Company on St. James Island. The Future Land use maps, or Flumes, designate areas where the St. Joe company plans to develop; in all the maps show potential sites for about 3600 residential units plus some commercial development. Also on Tuesday’s agenda is a public hearing to discuss the South Shoal development PUD at Alligator Point and a possible road abandonment there. The county will also hear from the United Fire Fighters Association and they’ll consider approving a proclamation for National Health Center Week. The County commission meeting is open to the public; it begins at 9 tomorrow morning at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
