State representative Leonard Bembry has received the “Faith and Family” award presented by the Christian Coalition. Bembry received the award for voting with the Coalition 100 percent of the time on social issues ranging from strengthening the family and protecting religious freedom to easing the tax burden on families and protecting communities from the expansion of gambling. Bembry, who represents District 10 including much of Franklin County in the Florida House of Representatives, was one of 22 Florida House members and 7 Senators to receive the award. Bembry said he wants to always represent the heart and soul values of the people of District 10 particularly during these very critical and important times.
