The Florida Department of Transportation will host a Public Hearing, tomorrow to discuss and consider the public’s input on the Tentative Five Year Work Program for Fiscal Years 2010 through 2015. The meeting will cover proposed projects located in Franklin, Gadsden, Liberty, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla Counties. Some of the projects planned for Franklin County in that time include the construction of a number of sidewalks and the resurfacing of portions of Highway 98 in Carrabelle and Highway 65 between Eastpoint and the Liberty County line. The Department of Transportation also plans to begin the preliminary engineering for a number of other projects including repairs to the Ochlocknee Bridge which should begin in 2011 and a bike path near Carrabelle beach which should begin in 2013. Comments and input from local and regional interest groups, governmental entities, business enterprises and the general public are welcome. The meeting will be held Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. and concluding at Noon in the FDOT Midway Operations Center Conference Room in Midway, Florida.
