Flood warning continues for Apalachicola River

A flood warning remains in effect for areas along the Apalachicola River including Franklin, Gulf, Calhoun and Liberty Counties.

River levels are falling. River levels at Blountstown had risen to over 23 feet last week, but are expected to fall below 22 feet today.

Flood stage for the Apalachicola River is 15 feet. River levels are not expected to fall below 15 feet until next week at the earliest.

All people with interests along the river should continue to monitor the latest forecasts. Do not walk or drive cars through flooded areas.
