A flood warning remains in effect for areas along the Apalachicola River including Franklin, Gulf, Calhoun and Liberty Counties.
The river level at Blountstown was at 19 feet on Tuesday and is expected to fall to 18 feet today – which is still 3 feet above flood stage. River levels are not expected to fall below 15 feet until sometime next week.
It is possible that some minor flooding could occur along the Apalachicola riverbanks so residents are asked to monitor river levels and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect life and property. Do Not Drive Cars or walk through Flooded Areas.
