The Franklin County commission will meet in emergency session this afternoon at 3 PM at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
According to County Attorney Michael Shuler the meeting is being called by chairman Smokey Parrish to discuss Franklin County's boom plan and other issues related to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
The meeting is open to the public.
