Outdoor recreation is the name of the game here in Franklin County. Are you into Yolo? Well, if you were, you could do that here along the quiet bay shallows. Or kayak, fish, swim or just plain relax... Come enjoy, our beaches are clear and our seafood is delicious!

July 20 Update - If you plan to go boating at night in Franklin County waters, you'll be glad to know you can plug in the Tier III boom coordinates to avoid hitting these valuable protective barriers. County leaders and emergency officials have worked with local contractors to create this online GPS resource. Moderate southeast winds of 10-15 knots are forecast to continue through Thursday and officials do not forecast any impact to the Franklin County area through the 72 hour forecast period. A tropical wave in the Southwestern Atlantic just north of Puerto Rico has a 40% chance of becoming a tropical depression or tropical storm within the next 48 hours.

If you have questions about seafood safety, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services recently launched a seafood hotline to provide up-to-date information on Florida’s fisheries. The Florida Seafood Hotline, 1-800-357-4273, is updated daily at 2 pm and provides information on what state waters are open and other information about Florida's seafood.
