The working group resulted in the following updates to the program:
-a 2 week rotation system will be implemented
-there will be a 3 day notice of pre-activation if possible
-a list of contracted names will be posted at the BP Community Outreach Center
-clarification that fishermen are allowed to work before they are activated
-training classes will be held over the next 2 weeks
A list of first and last names of people who are in the database will be posted at the BP Community Outreach Center at the High Cotton Building on Water Street in Apalachicola on July 19. We encourage everyone who put in a contract to look at the list. If you do not see your name on the list, inform the Outreach Staff and you can fill out a new contract immediately. There is only one contract per person.
The VoO office at ICP Mobile is standing up a dedicated Florida team to address your concerns. They are also activating 40 people to supplement their call center.
We appreciate the community's diligence & dedication in partnering with us to help respond to the spill.
More information on the VoO program can be found in the Factsheet on BP Vessels of Opportunity Program (http://www.bp.com/liveassets/
