CHIPLEY - To ease traffic congestion and insure safety along the roadways in northwest Florida, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has directed construction contractors working on state roads to cease operations during the Labor Day weekend. There will be no work on state roads requiring lane restrictions from Friday September 3 through Monday, September 6.
All major roads in northwest Florida will be open to normal traffic.
