Franklin County sheriff's office and DEA to hold prescription drug collection program on Saturday

The Franklin County Sheriff office and the Drug Enforcement Administration will hold a prescription drug take back program this Saturday.

The Program allows people to turn in all unused or expired medication for safe disposal, no questions asked.

The program will help ensure that expired and unused medications do not fall into the hands of those who may misuse or abuse them.

It also helps people from improperly disposing of their medications where they can end up in the water system.

The prescription drug take back program will be held at the Franklin County Sheriff’s office on Highway 65 in Eastpoint.

The program will take place from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Saturday.
