Apalachicola will be cleaning downtown this week

The City of Apalachicola will get a fall cleaning beginning this weekend.

Historic Apalachicola, Inc. has announced plans beginning to spruce up historic downtown Apalachicola before the arrival of the 2010 holiday season.

Historic Apalachicola Inc. is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to work with the City of Apalachicola to implement the Florida Main Street program and rejuvenate the historic downtown.

The cleanup will take place on Sunday, November 14th and ending on Monday, November 15^th.

Historic Apalachicola, Inc. is looking for volunteers to help clean downtown by sweeping, trimming, pressure washing, and painting.
Downtown merchants are also being asked to help by placing your debris on the city right-of-way so the city can pick it up.
