County Commissioners say they will make a final decision at their next commission meeting as to which local newspaper prints its legal ads.
The county received proposals from both local newspapers last month to print legal ads for the next year.
The Apalachicola Times, which currently has the contract, said it can continue to do the work at a cost of 2.25 a square inch.
The Franklin Chronicle said it would print the ads for 1.04 per square inch.
The county created a committee to look at the bids.
The committee has been looking at the fine print for the past few weeks, but will be ready to make a recommendation at the county’s next meeting.
