County commissioners have approved a land use and zoning change for the Crooked River Lighthouse Park in Carrabelle.
The board agreed to change the land use from residential to preservation to help fulfill a grant the city is applying for to maintain the lighthouse.
Commissioners say it will also help get grants in the future to enhance the lighthouse and the park.
Commissioner Bevin Putnal said the rezoning was something the county should have done a long time ago.
