TDC to host "Social Media" workshop on Tuesday

The TDC will host a workshop tomorrow for local tourism businesses who might want to start using social media like Facebook in their advertising efforts.

The Tourist Development Council will bring VISIT FLORIDA Social Marketing Representative Dorothy Thames to head the workshop.

The program will include examples of how VISIT FLORIDA integrates social media into its marketing endeavors.

It will also focus on how social media tools such as Facebook can help tourism businesses, lodging providers and event coordinators improve their attendance and visibility throughout the region.

The workshop is open to the public, it will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Apalachicola Community Center at Battery Park.
