If you decide to jump into the Gulf this chili cookoff weekend – the water might be a little cold but it should be clean.
There are no swimming advisories in Franklin County for the chili cookoff weekend.
There were also no advisories issued for beaches in Wakulla County or Gulf County this week.
The Florida Department of Health tests 6 Franklin County beaches every week to see if there are bacteria in the water that could indicate a health danger to swimmers.
They also test seven sites in Gulf County and two in Wakulla.
