Florida seafood on display at Boston Seafood show

Florida seafood was on display this week at the largest seafood show in the nation.
Florida companies showed off their wares at the International Boston Seafood Show which attracts thousands of seafood professionals from more than 130 countries.
Each year, the marketing team at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services coordinates and hosts the Florida Pavilion, where Florida companies exhibit and promote their products.
At-show sales generated by exhibiting Florida companies averaged $14.5 million annually over the past five years.
The focal point of this year’s Florida Pavilion is the “Florida Gulf Safe” message and logo, which many Florida seafood producers and retailers have been displaying on packaging and point-of-sale materials since last fall.
The seven companies exhibiting at this year’s Florida Pavilion are: Shaw’s Southern Belle Frozen Foods; Florida Seagrant; Wood’s Fisheries; Incredible Fish; Southeastern Seaproducts; Florida Fresh Stone Crab; and the Florida Alligator Marketing and Education Committee.
