Franklin County Humane Society to begin spay/neuter voucher program

The Franklin County Humane Society is in the process of raising funds for a much needed spay/neuter voucher program.  This service will be available to citizens of Franklin County that want and need their pets altered but can’t afford to have it done.

Applications will be available at the Adoption Center, Animal Control and Apalachicola Bay Animal Clinic beginning April 1st.  Applicants will need to fill out an application and sign a statement that they are unable to pay for the needed surgery.  A monthly drawing will be held and those whose names have been drawn will be contacted and arrangements made.  Applicants receiving a voucher will pay a small amount toward the surgery and the balance will be paid by the Humane Society through funds raised for the program.

The fund raising drive includes the donation jar campaign, raffle ticket sale and contributions mailed directly to the Humane Society at P.O. Box 417, Eastpoint, FL 32328, earmarked “Voucher Program”.  All donations made to the jars during the month of March will go to the voucher program.  You may buy raffle tickets for $2.00 at Petunia’s, Penelope’s, Pro Groomers, Apalachicola Bay Animal Hospital and the Adoption Center.  There are 2 prize baskets worth over $100.00 each full
of gifts for people and pets.  The drawing will be held on April 1.
