News and Specials from Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratories

GULF SPECIMEN MARINE LABORATORIES

Sharks & Chablis 2011

Welcome to Gulf Specimen Marine Lab's annual fundraiser "Sharks & Chablis," Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 4 to 7 PM at our aquarium, 222 Clark Drive in Panacea, Florida. Map at http://gulfspecimen.org/Directions.html. We need to raise $20,000, to finish the traveling touch tank trailer and aquarium that will go to festivals and regional schools. This exhibit will travel to festivals throughout north Florida doing community outreach and marine education. The goal, with this new traveling exhibit, is to travel to schools that can no longer afford the high cost of gas to visit our aquarium. Please help further our mission of saving the sea one child at a time.

We'll have great exhibits, delicious seafood and drink, music, entertainment and an ocean of silent auction items featuring local artists, a grand opening of our newly built redfish tank and artwork donated by one of Florida's most famous artists, Christopher M. Still, on display. Tickets are $35 per person. Donations above that are tax deductible. We are looking for sponsors.

The first level is the Gold sponsorship of $3000 and above. This level of sponsorship will be mentioned in local newspapers, TV, radio, banners, flyers, and printed on the back of the tickets. The media coverage that we already have for the event is WFSU radio, News Channel 27, and the Tallahassee Democrat.  We are currently trying to secure other forms of media coverage.

The second level is the Silver sponsorship of $1000 - $3000. This level of sponsorship will be mentioned on the radio, in newspapers, on banners and flyers, and printed on the back of the tickets

The third level is the Bronze sponsorship of $100 - 1000. This level of sponsorship will be mentioned in newspapers, on flyers and banners, and printed on the back of the tickets.

Sincerely,
Cypress Rudloe
