Wondering how to keep the kiddos occupied during the upcoming Spring Break?
Announcing the 2nd Annual Project Impact Spring Bling Holiday Camp. March 14th-
March 17th from 8am to 4pm. Some of the special activities that are planned include
a special arts program on March 16th with the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts from
Tallahassee. Special art activities will include shaving cream, watercolors, and crayon
encaustic boards. Come ready to have fun. On March 17th we will celebrate the love of
reading during our “Read Across Apalach” program. Celebrity Readers including Mayor
Van Johnson, City Clerk Marcia Johnson, Chief Bobby Varnes and County Commissioner
Noah Lockley will read stories at several stops beginning at the Riverfront Park at 1:30
p.m. and ending at Battery Park. At Battery Park students will be treated to a St. Patrick’s
Day Party to celebrate the end of our Spring Bling week. Other activities will include
gardening, cooking lessons, computers, and lots of sports and recreation. Parents,
please be sure to send a sack lunch with your child each day.
Project Impact is open free of charge and is located at the city Municipal Complex in
Apalachicola on 14th street. Our hours are 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. Please be sure to bring a sack
lunch. If you are not already enrolled for Project Impact, you can Pre-register your child at
www.projectimpactfcs.org or you can register when you drop them off on Friday. Come ready
to have FUN!
