This report represents some events the FWC handled over the past week; however, it does not include all actions taken by the Division of Law Enforcement.
NORTHWEST REGION
SANTA ROSA COUNTY
Officers Joe Murphy and Christopher Pettey were on water patrol on the Blackwater River when they checked two men fishing. The inspection revealed four undersized black bass. Officer Murphy cited one of the men for the violation.
WALTON COUNTY
Officers Darrell Johnson and Ken White responded to a boating accident on Lake Juniper. The accident occurred when a vessel struck a stump and capsized in approximately 15 feet of water. The only occupant aboard the vessel was able to utilize an onboard gas tank to stay afloat until he was safely rescued. The accident investigation determined the operator was not at fault.
