Living on the Edge- How to Protect Your Home and Community From Wildfire




  To help homeowners learn how to best protect their homes from wildfire, The Florida Division of Forestry in cooperation with Franklin County Emergency Management is presenting How to Have a Firewise Home.  Join Division of Forestry representatives and other wildfire experts for this free workshop on Monday, May 16, 5:30pm - 8:00pm at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, Education and Training Center, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint. All residents are welcome to attend and dinner will be provided.
    Wildfire is a serious threat in Florida. This workshop will show homeowners in Franklin County simple things that they can do to make their homes and community safer from wildfires.  Participants will also learn more about local wildfire risk and will have the opportunity to talk with fire managers.
