TPD Hosts Police Motorcycling Event The Tallahassee Police Department, with the assistance of the Leon County Sheriff's Office and the Florida State University Police Department, will host the 7th Annual Capital City Challenge. The event will be held this Saturday, May 7th, in the east parking lot of Doak Campbell Stadium. Competition begins at 8:00AM and will wrap up around 5:00PM. Law Enforcement Officers from around the southeast will compete by riding their police motorcycles through challenging obstacle courses. Competitors will spend the day running several courses as they compete for 1st place honors. Additional events include a challenge ride, tether ride, team slow ride, and team relay. There will be a raffle for a customized golf cart and trailer, as well as plenty of food and merchandise vendors. This event benefits Special Olympics Leon County.
