An Eastpoint man was killed Tuesday morning in a single car wreck east of Apalachicola.
46 year old Christopher Giametta, who worked as Franklin county’s building inspector, was killed after he was thrown from his 2007 GMC Sierra on County Road 30.
According to the Highway patrol, Mister Giametta was headed west of County road 30 just before 11 o’clock Tuesday morning when he drove on to the south shoulder of the road.
He overcorrected trying to get the Sierra back on to the roadway and the vehicle flipped over a number of times.
Mister Giametta was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the Sierra, landing in the westbound lane.
The county planning and zoning office said Chris was on the job when the accident happened.
Since the accident, the P and Z office has received numerous requests for information about funeral services and arrangements, especially from contractors and other people that worked with Mister Giametta.
