Free breakfasts and lunches are available to Franklin County children this summer.
The Franklin County School system and Project Impact are taking part in the summer food service program – the program officially began on Monday.
The program provides free breakfasts and lunches to any Franklin County children under the age of 18 regardless of race, color, sex, disability or national origin.
The program is available because more than half of Franklin County’s students qualify for the free school lunch program.
Food will be provided at a number of locations including the old Apalachicola High School building, The Learning Center in Eastpoint, the Franklin County School and the Carrabelle Municipal Complex.
Beginning on June 20th food will also be served at the Apalachicola Bay Charter School.
Breakfasts will be offered from 8 till 9 AM and lunch from 12 till 1 at all locations.
