Tailgating with a Purpose brings in over 6000 dollars


Covenant Hospice said its “Tailgating with a Purpose” fundraiser held last Friday at Doak Campbell Stadium was a huge success.
The event raised more than $6500 dollars which will help support Covenant Hospice’s unfunded and underfunded programs in 8 north Florida counties including Franklin and Wakulla counties.
About 250 people showed up for live music, food and tailgate games for the entire family.
There was also a silent auction and raffle for tickets for 4 to the FSU Oklahoma game.
Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization that provides end-of-life care to patients and their families.
Last year, Covenant Hospice provided $2.3 million in indigent care as well as other programs that are not reimbursed by medicare or private insurance.
