Apalachicola Riverkeeper

The Riverkeeper is a nonprofit group here to protect the Apalachicola River & Bay. This is such a wonderful one of a kind place. It's so important that we pay attention and protect our waters. We are the only organization that spends 100% of its time on the protection of the Apalachicola River and Bay.

Please join us today! We need your financial help to continue our work.

 Quicklinks

The Apalachicola Riverkeeper exists to maintain the quality of life you enjoy as a neighbor of our river, bay, marshlands, tributaries and watershed.  If you enjoy fishing, paddling, boating, eating seafood, nature photography, clean water, pristine coastlines or just gazing out at the incredible view from anywhere in our river

basin, you will appreciate all the Riverkeeper does to keep our river clean and flowing.
In August, the Riverkeeper hosted Sen. Bob Graham and family.  Volunteers assisted us in taking the Graham Family up the Apalachicola River and explaining to all the importance of our maintaining adequate flows.  Click
here to see Sen. & Mrs. Graham's response to our tour.

Please help us continue our work of advocating for adequate flows from our neighboring states, monitoring the Gulf coast for oil spill damage, restoration of seagrass beds, establishing a Blueways Trail and supporting our local Seafood Workers Association.
