Franklin County Humane Society pet of the week

PRECIOUS PANDA    Panda is an 8 week Border Collie mix.  He was one of 7
pups that were left in a box in a yard in Eastpoint.  He is healthy,
happy and very social.  He will be a medium size dog weighing around
50-55 lbs when full grown.  If you have been waiting for the perfect pup
for your family, come meet this little guy and find out if he fits the
bill.

The Humane Society is scheduling volunteer work days for the second and
forth Tuesdays of every month.  Many of you have asked how you can help
and if you are handy, this is how.  We continue to make improvements on
the building and have a "working list" available.  Come by between 10-4
on those days and you can be sure there will be plenty for you to do!

Thank you to all the volunteers that worked so hard last week getting the
adoption center ready for the open house.  Ann and Fran Giknis, Judy and
John Schultz, Joanna and Wesley McCall and especially Terry Brewer for
spearheading this project.

Volunteers are desperately needed to socialize Panda and all of the
other dogs and cats.  We are always looking for people willing to bring
one of our animals into their home to be fostered for various needs.
Anytime you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

Call Karen at 670-8417 for more details or visit the Franklin County
Humane Society at 244 State Road 65 in Eastpoint.  You may log onto the
website at www.forgottenpets.org to see more of our adoptable pets.
